Pamzo out to haunt Gor Mahia in first game in charge at Kenya Police

Newly appointed Kenya Police FC head coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo will be a man on a mission when he comes up against his former side Gor Mahia in his first game in charge at the top-flight newbies who visit K’Ogalo in a league match set for the Moi Stadium in Kisumu on Sunday afternoon.Since his sacking from the record Kenyan champions as an assistant coach at the tail end of January 2022, Pamzo only stayed out of management for less than one and a half months before being picked as the man to replace John ‘Bobby’ Ogolla at the Law Enforcers who failed to register any win in their last seven games.Pamzo, Musa Otieno hit the ground running at PoliceHaving been dismissed alongside English head coach Mark Harrison, Pamzo will be seeking to prove a point when he faces his former employers. On the flip side, new K’Ogalo tactician Andreas Spier will be seeking to keep his unbeaten record intact when he leads out his troops in Kisumu.Since his appointment in February, the German manager has recorded two wins and two draws in the four games he has overseen with the verdict of the abandoned Vihiga Bullets clash yet to be determined since the Sports Disputes Tribunal intervention.Ahead of the clash, team captain Philemon Otieno remained confident that his side can get the job done on a Kisumu stadium that favours them both in terms of the surface of the pitch and the support they get from their second home.”All our preparations have been smooth coming into the match. At this point in the season, we are focused on only getting all three points because the title race is already starting to take shape. Kisumu is a good place for us because of the home support we get and the artificial turf that is similar to what we are used to in training,” he told Mozzart Sport.🟢 | NEXT ASSIGNMENT 🏆 | League Match ⚽ | 🆚 Police FC🗓 | Sunday, Mar 13🏟 | Moi stadium, Kisumu ⏰ | 3pm #Sirkal | #Betsafe— GOR MAHIA FC (@OfficialGMFC) March 11, 2022 As things stand, K’Ogalo sit in fifth on the log on 35 points, 11 behind log leaders Kakamega Homeboyz.
