Italian giants in talks with Origi

Serie A leaders AC Milan have opened talks with Liverpool striker Divock Origi with the view of signing the striker the striker in the summer. The Belgian international who has been with the Reds since 2014 has seen little playtime this season and the arrival of Luis Diaz in January saw him drop further in the pecking order and understandably, a move is in the cards.According to reports in the UK, Milan are in talks with the players’ representatives and they hope to strike a deal soon so that they can boost their attack with the former Lille man who was part of Belgium’s squad at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.Despite his limited role at the club, the striker has scored some iconic goals for the Reds. He is best remembered for the goals he scored in the champions league semi final and final against Barcelona and Tottenham respectively in 2019 as Liverpool went on to win the title. He also got a derby winner against Everton during the 2018/19 season.AC Milan have already made a proposal to sign Divock Origi on a free transfer. It is unlikely with the size of the squad that we now stay exactly like this together. For sure, some of the players do not play often enough for their own understanding and we will see what will come in the summer and find solutions for those situations,” the tactician told Skysports.English Premier League side, Newcastle United is also said to be courting the attacker.
