He termed the position as embarrassing and wants to change their fortunes starting with Saturday’s league action against Sofapaka. We are not used to anything other than top-ten positions. We are eager to put matters right and we intend to start doing so in our next match against Sofapaka this weekend,” he told the Star. The match against Batoto ba Mungu was initially scheduled for January but was never played due to the unavailability of a well-equipped ambulance. It was the same case a fortnight ago against AFC Leopards in Kericho when Ingwe had to travel back to Nairobi after the medical personnel ruled that the availed ambulance did not meet the set requirements. Nyangweso however feels that the two sides were not being truthful.“I don’t think it should have gotten to that point. Our rivals were simply malicious,” he added.Batoto ba Mungu have since announced that they will not be honoring the match as they want to appeal against the decision that ordered for the replay. According to club president Elly Kalekwa, the caretaker committee ought to have awarded them points from the abandoned clash.
