Partey on target as Ghana hold Nigeria to qualify for World Cup

Ghana have qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after holding Nigeria to a one-all draw in a World Cup qualification playoff second leg clash staged at the Abuja Internationa Stadium on Tuesday evening.Thomas Partey got Ghana to a bright start when he fired home in the tenth minute. The lead lasted for 12 minutes before captain William Troost-Ekong drew Nigeria level from the penalty spot.Victor Osimhen thought he had given the Super Eagles the lead in the 34th minute but his strike was disallowed for offside.The second half was closely fouth but Ghana did well to frustrate Nigeria to secure a World Cup ticket.
