Former Simba coach wants Joash Onyango offloaded

Former Simba SC coach Abdallah Kibadeni opines that the club should make a tough decision and part ways with a couple of players whose contracts with the club are running out, including Kenyan international Joash Onyango. The midfielder in his playing days says that doing so will present an opportunity for the club to give youngsters a chance to show what they have in store for Wekundu wa Msimbazi.Nyota na Kocha wa zamani wa Simba SC, Abdallah Kibadeni, mtazamo wake ni Wekundu wa Msimbazi kuwapa mkono wa kwaheri wachezaji wafuatao;Joash OnyangoPascal Serge WawaMeddie KagereChris MugaluBernard Morrison (Nidhamu)Hassan DilungaErasto NyoniMzamiru Yassin pic.twitter.com/jAVyZ52i6i— Binago TV (@binagotv) April 15, 2022 Although Kibadeni acknowledges that the former Gor Mahia defender is a good player, he feels that his contribution to the side has taken a downward spiral, noting he has not been as rock-solid, and with the defender’s contract lapsing in August, he feels Simba should not renew.”Actually most of the players whose contracts are close to coming to an end are getting older. Simba SC must agree to give the youngsters a chance to eliminate a large percentage of those whose contracts are about to come to an end. Onyango is a good player, but his contribution seems to be declining. That is why he has been causing problems defensively,” Kibadeni is quoted as saying in Tanzania’s publication IPPMedia. The Kenyan defender was linked with a move to South African giants Orlando Pirates last month, with there being reports linking him with Yanga though the Tanzania side said the reports as false.Yanga set record straight on Joash Onyango linksOnyango has been with Simba for the last two years and has been a vital cog in the team’s backline winning two league titles with the club. He has also been key for them in the continental stage, reaching last season’s CAF Champions League quarter-final stage before they were tossed out by finalists, Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa. The other players that the veteran tactician feels should not be part of Simba upon the expiry of their mandates with the club include Pascal Wawa, Meddie Kagere, Chris Mugalu, and Bernard Morrison with the latter’s major undoing being indiscipline, according to the former coach.
