Kiprono confident of Zoo’s promotion to top flight football

Zoo FC attacking midfielder Danson Kiprono believes that the club stands a good chance of sealing promotion to the top flight should they maintain the good run they have been exhibiting in recent weeks. The Kericho based club lies a place outside the promotion bracket following the latest blistering form that has seen them register four wins on the trot including last weekend’s 3-1 win away to Dandora Love.Danson Kiprono ‘Toto’….Time to change the script! #fcukzoo #MagicalKericho pic.twitter.com/WkaY3rm21F— Zoo FC (@zoofootballclub) October 7, 2021 Zoo were relegated to the second tier last year by FIFA on suspicion that they had created fertile grounds for match fixing to thrive but Kiprono feels that they will grace top flight football again starting next season. The forward whose wicked left foot trickery has always been a nightmare to his markers said they will seek to keep the fire burning up to the final round. Further, the national U20 trialist wants the team to seal the holes in the defence as they have kept two cleansheets this year.“We will certainly get promoted at the end of the season. We are fighting for it and the results are there for all to see. We only need to be consistent and take each game at a time for us to finish in the top two. There are areas we need to improve and defending is one of them,” he said.Danson Kiprono “toto” #20….#fcukzoo #magicalkericho #NSL pic.twitter.com/qtWr8pZMPT— Zoo FC (@zoofootballclub) February 7, 2022 The Herman Iswekha coached side began life in the second tier on the wrong footing that was initially attributed to the long spells the players went without competitive football. However, the club began to gather steam as the season progressed and appear to be favorites for the two automatic promotion slots if the quality of players in their ranks is anything to go by.
