Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Bernard Mwalala remains confident of clinching this season’s league title despite suffering yet another setback after his team registered a 2-2 draw against Kenya Police FC on Sunday afternoon at the Kasarani Annex.After back-to-back draws against Sofapaka, the Kakamega-based club was desperate to return to winning ways against struggling Kenya Police FC but four minutes into the game they suffered a blow when Clinton Kinanga opened the scoring for the hosts. Gaetan Masha would score before the break for a halftime lead. The hosts would go ahead through Clifton Miheso from the spot before David Okoth earned the visitors a point in a similar fashion.Homeboyz once boasted of a 10-point lead at the top but that has been reduced to just six points left before the season comes to a close. He admitted that the result was a setback for their title bid but appreciated the point earned in the game saying it could play an important role in their title bid.“This is a marathon race and we can’t rely on a single match in our bid for the title. I don’t think today’s outcome has affected our title bid.
