Scholes talks about Lingard conversation, gives his verdict on Paul Pogba

For some reason, Paul Scholes wanted the world to know how bad the situation in his former club is, and he wanted it so badly, that he revealed his ‘source’ within the club, something that journalists around the world don’t do, even under more serious circumstances, like threats and public prosecution. Manchester United’s legend went on air to say that he spoke with Jesse Lingard and that the dressing room is a ‘disaster’. After that, interim manager Ralf Ranginck went on to deny Scholes’ claims, and the TV pundit got the angry call from the player himself.🗣 | Paul Scholes: “I had a quick chat with Jesse [Lingard] the other day. I’m sure he won’t mind me saying… the dressing room is just a disaster.”#MUFC pic.twitter.com/c2JRqJB1y6— ΛROUND THE GROUNDS (@ArndTheGrnds) April 26, 2022 In a new conversation for TalkSPORT, Scholes admitted he was wrong for revealing his source but also didn’t say what he spoke with Lingard (clever boy!).’I’ve had a little bit of stick for that. I don’t know why I did it! Honestly, sometimes words just come out your mouth. I have spoken to him since and probably best I don’t tell you what he said. Obviously after games like like Liverpool or Everton, there is massive disappointment in the locker room, for sure, this is normal. It would rather be a problem if this was different. This is for me normal but I think the whole group get on reasonable with each other, I’m not daring to say they get on well with each other. I don’t see there is an issue in regard to the locker room” he explained to talkSPORT.‘I’ve battled depression and it started with Mourinho’The famous midfielder also talked about the soon to be leaving Paul Pogba, who made the same impact in the club as the first time he was there – minimal. After leaving the Old Trafford as a free agent in 2012, the Frenchman won 4 consecutive titles with Juventus and participated in the Champions League final against Barcelona 2015 and came to Manchester in 2016 in a big money move, but failed to impress. And Scholes, who was still at Old Trafford when Pogba had his first stint as a United player, gave his reasons for the failure.“I was there when he was a kid and this lad has got absolutely everything you would want in a footballer and a midfield player. His physique, he can run. I just don’t think he’s ever learned as a footballer, he constantly seems to make the same mistakes over and over again. It’s disappointing, it looks like he’s going to leave. He’ll go somewhere, a manager will get a grip of him, and I think he’ll do really well, as he did at Juventus. For some reason, at Man United, it hasn’t worked out. It’s a big disappointment. You see what he does with France” Scholes told talkSport.22:00: (1.50) Man.City (4.50) Real Madrid (7.25)Former United midfielder went on to say that Pogba is a good person, willing to work and learn that he has the ability to be a world class player. And the Frenchman himself recently admitted that he doesn’t know what’s his role in Manchester team, unlike France, where he plays excellent and knows what to do. Inevitably, the time for departure has come…
