New Thierry Henry and Czech jewel targeted as Haaland’s successors

As the season is coming to an end, more and more transfer targets are being mentioned as Erling Haaland’s successor, since it’s almost certain that the Norwegian will leave Borussia Dortmund in June. The Millionaires are in the semi-rebuilding mode, mainly in their weakest department – defense, but when your best scorer is about to leave, a proper replacement is a must. And since the Karim Adeyemi transfer has not yet being agreed, Bild Sport has another two candidates to replace Haaland: Hugo Ekitike and Adam Hlozek.➡️ Karim Adeyemi will join Borussia Dortmund. There will be the “final talks of the final talks” in the coming days. The announcement will take place as soon as it gets a little quieter around Salzburg’s season.#BVB (🌗) | 🗞️ @SkySportDE pic.twitter.com/GO9O4z7Ln0— BVB Newsblog (@bvbnewsblog) April 26, 2022 Hugo Ekitike has become very popular since newly rich Newcastle made a bid for him in January, but he refused as it was too early for him. But not everybody wants him and he is certain to leave Reims, especially after his president basically told him that it’s time to move on.“In Hugo’s case, he would waste time staying with us. We refused an offer of 35 million euros this winter, which is a lot of money for a club like ours. That money will be used to grow and improve the club. Hugo will be allowed to go, and he’s probably going to leave. There wasn’t a big club that didn’t inquire for him” he told Europe 1.A turnaround: Clubs agreed but now Adeyemi is having second thoughtsThe young Frenchman has already been called ‘a new Thierry Henry’ and since his price will be around 35 million, it’ safe to say that that Borussia won’t be able to buy both Ekitike and Adeyemi. If they have to choose (and they do), the Salzburg striker and former Bayern trainee is much more suited. He already knows Bundesliga and has played in the Champions League with Salzburg, but he is apparently having second thoughts about coming to Dortmund, so in that case, Ekitike would do just fine.22:00: (1.40) RB Leipzig (4.50) Rangers (8.50)The other one is a true ‘dark horse’. Adam Hlozek currently plays for Sparta Prague (26 goals in 43 games) and is worth less than the Frenchman, 20 million euros at most. But, he is the most unexperienced of all three players, and plays in the weakest league: Czech. On top of that, ne is not a classic number 9, like Haaland or Ekitike, but so was not Adeyemi at the beginning. Dortmund still have time to decide which player to pursuit, but for now, the young German international Adeyemi seems like the best option.
