‘Ancelotti? He is a traitor!’

Carlo Ancelotti. One of the most successful and respected football coaches ever is close to one big record. The Italian tactician is not the manager with most trophies, but will soon become (unless something extraordinary happens) the first manager in history with at least one title in all Europe Top 5 league. We say soon, because, believe it or not, he doesn’t have La Liga title with Real yet. He managed them before, from 2013 to 2015, and won Copa del Rey, Supercopa de Espana, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup but never the title. In other leagues, he has one each with Bayern, PSG, Chelsea and AC Milan.Ehi @MrAncelotti … 🚀🚀🚀 pic.twitter.com/V7ubHvUwwo— davide borghesan (@daju29ro) April 28, 2022 In his native Italy, Ancelotti spent some time at Juventus, but only managed UEFA’s Intertoto Cup while in AC Milan he won Serie A title and the Champions League. Considering that Juventus is the most successful club in Italy, the fact that he didn’t won the title is a bit odd, but the Italian tactician gave his reasons an also spoked about ‘Calciopoli’ and provoked a fierce answer from his former boss.“It wasn’t a great experience, but everything was perfectly organized. I didn’t have a great time because of my time at Milan and Roma, but I learned a lot at the club. I think it was positive that Italian football was cleaned” Ancelotti said for Universo Valdano.(1.53) REAL MADRID (4.40) ESPANYOL (6.75)And this last sentence, about ‘cleaning’ the Italian football, provoked a fierce response from former Juventus director, and a man who hired Ancelotti. ‘Calciopoli’ was a match fixing scandal in Italy’s Serie A which involved a number of top Italian clubs like Juventus, Milan, Fiorentina and Lazio and resulted in a severe punishment to Juventus, who were stripped of the 2004–05 title and relegated to Serie B. Juve’s director Luciano Moggi was banned from Italian football and Ancelotti’s approval of Calciopoli didn’t sit well with him.Hey kid, let your uncle tell you a little story about poking the bear…So, Moggi decided to reply for Real Madrid boss with a column in Libero newspaper.“Dear Carlo, your claims make me think you forget about your time at Juventus and don’t realise that you are also reporting yourself. You were part of that ‘dirty football’ you enjoyed because it made you grow as a coach. You were part of that football also when Juventus lost the title under the rain in Perugia. At that time, you used to come to my office to complain about the injustice suffered by Juventus. I don’t understand why you condemn this behaviour now, just like traitors who take advantage of the dirty game to grow and then, with lights off, they make whistleblowers, but only to pass as do-gooders” said Moggi, among other things. Tough words, which are yet to be denied. And it’s debatable if Ancelotti will bother replying to his former boss.
