Mwangi under pressure to open goal account with KCB

KCB winger John Mwangi has conceded to be under immense pressure to open his goal account at the club before the season ends.Mwangi ditched the 2008 league champions Mathare United for the bankers in the mid-season transfer window but he is yet to kiss the back of the net while in the green colours since making the move. The fleet-footed player made his debut for KCB in the barren draw against Bandari in February this year and has gone ahead to provide a host of assists to the center forwards. However, he admits that the pressure to get his first league goal while in the KCB colours is boiling up but vowed to continue fighting for it should the technical bench field him in the remaining seven rounds.”I have been creating scoring chances and helping in defending but one thing continues to give me pressure. I haven’t scored my first goal since joining the team and it concerns me big time. I however feel that once I get it, I will be unstoppable,” he offered. From child labour to football stardom – This is Moses Mudavadi’s storyAsked on why the team was also struggling in the league, the former national U20 attacking midfielder attributed the decline in form especially in the second leg to tough luck. The Zedekiah Otieno coached side has won a game in the last eleven league rounds and consequently, their objective to better last season’s performance appears close to impossibility. The Mathare United U20 squad that won the KPL U20 Tournament after edging AFC Leopards Youth 4-2 on 31st December 2016How many players can you recognise here? We have been dominating matches and creating clear cut chances but the luck to burry them and at the same time fail to concede has not been with us,” he opined. He encouraged the team to step up in the remaining matches in order to secure a respectable finish.
