Oliech confirms his ambitions for FKF top job

Former Kenyan International Dennis Oliech has confirmed that he will be going for Football Kenya Federation’s top job when elections are called. In an interview with a French journalist for Ulyces, Oliech confirmed his ambitions of being at the helm of the Federation’s leadership, acknowledging that his team had already started campaigning but have since decided to hold back after FIFA’s suspension. It is unclear whether and when fresh elections will be held any time soon, with the FKF Caretaker Committee’s mandated time coming to an end next week and with the legitimacy of such a process in question as FIFA maintains that the ousted office should be reinstated for FKF’s suspension to be lifted.”I am running for the Football Kenya Federation Presidency. At the moment we are on hold after the FIFA suspension. I was hoping to emulate what Etoo did in Cameroon. To be a good president you have to help your people, even before you get to the presidency,” Oliech said.Aduda challenges CS Amina to shed light on next course of actionBy virtue of being involved in football all his life, the former Ajaccio striker believes that his experience as a player will come in handy when it comes to running the federation.Dennis Oliech 🤭 📸 Courtesy of @StandardKenya pic.twitter.com/Ef1gIpg4Js— Jeff Kinyanjui (@Nyash88) November 22, 2021 Oliech is also banking on developing youth programs upon his ascendancy and has plans of involving other former Kenyan internationals to help realize the dream and plan.”I have been in football all my life and I am passionate. I have had first-hand experience and I believe that is necessary. We do not have functional youth programs and that is what we are good at with the people we are working with. We have to involve former international players in actualizing these plans,” Oliech added.
