Kenyan international Eugene Asike made his full debut for his new side IF Karlstad as they fell by a solitary goal to Sylvia in a league match on Saturday evening. The Kenyan was given the starting nod having been brought from the bench at the start of the second half in the two-all draw against Vasalund in the last outing and went on to clock 90 minutes on his second game for the club.Karlstad were seemingly headed for a draw, and a point on the road sounded like a good idea until Adnan Kojić struck right at the death to ensure Sylvia bagged maximum points at home. The loss saw Karlstad blow their chance of moving to the top four, and instead remained eighth on the log with nine points after seven matches.
Ismael DungaElsewhere, another Kenyan international Ismael Dunga featured for 62 minutes as his side Kamatamare Sanuki earned a point on the road in the barren draw against Tegevajaro Miyazaki in Japan’s third-tier league on Sunday morning. The former tusker forward has featured in only three matches of the nine that his side has played this season, managing a total of 75 minutes in those three appearances. This was his first start with Kamatamare, having come off the bench in the other two matches, and was replaced by Kentaro Shigematsu slightly after the hour mark.Kamatamare are 11th on the log with as many points from nine matches.
