After three months without his name rolling out of the starting 11, Kenyan forward Ismael Dunga finally earned his maiden start for Kamatamare Sanuki in the Japanese third tier.The former Tusker FC forward was shipped out on loan to Sanuki from Japanese top tier side Sagan Tosu following a challenging spell that saw him fail to net a single goal.Japanese club Sagan Tosu ship Kenyan forward Ismail Dunga out on loanDunga was handed the start in the barren draw against Tegevajaro Miyazaki and was glad to see his side pick up a point on the road as he noted that he does not struggle to play with any player with who he partners upfront.“Today was the first game I have started since joining Sanuki, but it was good for the team to score a point away. No matter who participates, the way this team is built to play the same kind of soccer. I have never found it particularly difficult to team up with any player, and even if the formation changes, playing to win is the same,” said Dunga.Since making the move from Albanian side KF Vllaznia back in 2021, Dunga has struggled in Japan as he has endured a one-year goal drought with his best return being an assist in the Japanese Emperor’s Cup.The 29-year-old admitted that he will go into self-introspection as he looks to win back the faith of head coach Toshihiro Nishimura in the coming games.Asike makes full debut in Sweden, Dunga enjoys action“As with any player, it is important to calculate backwards and improve the condition for starting in the starting lineup.
