Ancelotti already knows starting 11 against Liverpool

He might doesn’t know if Kylian Mbappe will become his player this June or not, but Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti surely knows his starting 11 against Liverpool in the upcoming Champions League finals, which will start nine days from now at Stade de France in Paris. The Italian tactician held a press conference ahead of the last game of the season in La Liga against Betis, but hardly anyone asked about the game. Real is already a champion, while Betis will play in the Europa League, so everybody in Madrid is talking about the finals with the Reds. They are talking about Mbappe too, but Ancelotti tried to downplay his potential arrival.Vinicius deserves a new contract: Real will triple his wageIn fact, when pressed about it, the Real coach claimed that people in Madrid only think about the potential 14th Champions League trophy and not necessarily about the French international from PSG. “I have no doubts about the starting 11 in Paris. My only doubt is about who will play a more important part, those who start or those who finish the game. I don’t spend much time on the street. I spend my time in Valdebebas, in my car, in my house and maybe in some of Madrid’s good restaurants. If anyone has spoken to me, they’ve asked me about the Champions League final. I think Real Madrid fans are more excited about the Champions League final right now, so we’re all just thinking about trying to win the 14th European Cup. Nothing more” said the Italian. (1.85) REAL MADRID (3.70) BETIS (4.10)The Betis game will be the last game before the big final, and unlike Liverpool, who needs to field the strongest 11 in the last game since they are still in the title race, Ancelotti can calculate and rest some of the players. “I want to give minutes to the players who need those minutes tomorrow in order to be ready for the final. Those who didn’t feature against Cadiz should have more minutes here. Modrić, Marcelo and Isco will be back, for example. Liverpool have had a more difficult period than us because they’ve had so many matches, but then we both have a free week before the final. I’m glad we have so much time to prepare for it, for the most important match in football. If you are going to feel nervous or worried, it’s more likely to be just before the match. But, I enjoy that concern that comes before a big match” said Ancelotti.
