After years of pain, Sunderland fans finally get a break! The Black Cats are promoted!

Black Cats make one step back to the Premier League after ending their four-year stay in the English third tier with a 2-0 Play-off final win over Wycombe Wanderers. The deserved win at Wembley Stadium takes the Black Cats to the Championship as the club aims to get back onto the path of former glory.

Elliot Embleton and Ross Stewart struck in either half for Alex Neil’s side to get the job done, as over 46,000 Sunderland fans basked in the glory in the London sunshine after a season of incredible, avid support.

It took Sunderland too much time to return to the Championship after suffering back-to-back relegations in 2017 and 2018.
