Meja is the only one of the trio of Frank Odhiambo, Collins Sichenje, and him who moved to Sweden before the start of the season to make it to the match day squad, with Odhiambo yet to be considered in the senior team. While Meja linked up with AIK in January, Odhiambo was unveiled by Djugarden in February, and the two were part of their respective team’s preseason training although the latter’s start to life in Sweden was curtailed by an injury that saw him sidelined for two weeks.
