Kakamega Homeboyz midfielder Michael Isabwa has termed the club’s wretched run of form as ‘normal’ with every club bound to endure a rough patch at some point in a season.The Kakamega-based outfit squandered a glorious chance to put matters in their own hands heading into the final two games of the season following a 2-0 loss to AFC Leopards over the weekend.I wish I didn’t retire – Allan Wanga sad as Kakamega Homeboyz blow chance to win the FKFPL titleSpeaking to Mozzart Sport, Isabwa revealed that their run of four consecutive draws lead to them ceding ground to Tusker who failed to drop a single point during the period.“A team always has its moments, there are good and lean moments, after having a 12-point advantage we went on a run of four draws while Tusker were winning their games which made them catch up.In a season there are always good and bad runs, it’s unfortunate that ours came at a crucial period but we are determined to end the season on a high and we hope that it will be enough to lift the title,” said Isabwa.The midfielder joined Homeboyz in the January transfer window following an impressive first half of the season at Vihiga Bullets where he was their top scorer.It is not over until its over – Mwalala believes Homeboyz will win maiden FKFPL titleWith the club having few players who have tasted league success before, Isabwa noted that league title inexperience is not to be blamed for their poor run of form at this stage of the season when the pressure is cranked up.“We have a number of players who have won the league before, I don’t think that could be the reason because it’s the same players that were winning games during the season,” added Isabwa.
