Matano: Tusker have huge hopes of landing league title

With the title race going to the wire, Tusker FC head coach Robert Matano has admitted that the league is yet to be wrapped up heading into the final game of the season.The Brewers managed to get past a stubborn Bidco United on Sunday as they eventually cruised to a 2-0 win courtesy of goals from Rodgers Ouma and Lawrence Luvanda.Eugene Asike reveals what earned him foreign move to SwedenMatano admitted that Bidco offered them stern opposition in the game adding that the title race is wide open but they possess huge aspirations of lifting the title.“It was a difficult game but we were able to get victory which was something very important to us. The title race is on, we still have one game but we have huge hopes of taking the title,” said Matano.The Brewers fellow title challengers Kakamega Homeboyz collected three points without breaking a sweat after their opponents of the day FC Talanta failed to turn up for the clash.The former AFC Leopards coach noted that he was aware that Bidco would suffer a burn out in the second half after playing high tempo football in the opening stanza.Owino targets strong comeback at Wazito from next season“We knew that Bidco wanted to finish the league in a respectable position which made it a hard game, we were like a motivation factor to them, if they beat us or managed a draw they would be happy.“In the second half we knew they would get tired because of the energy they used in the first half and we knew they were not going to sustain that energy,” added Matano.
