‘If PSG want him, they must not delay’

Just after one season, troubles are on the horizon for Nice. The club which is owned by the wealthy British businessman Sir Jim Ratcliffe made a string of transfers last season in order to strengthen the squad, and new coach was required, a successful Christophe Galtier, who managed to ‘steal’ the title to mega-rich PSG with Lille. He managed to improve the squad, as Nice finished the season as 5th (last season they were 9th) and will play in Europe. But, everybody in the club expected that they will finish higher and play in the Champions League and not in the third-tier Conference League. And above all, the coach and the sporting director are (already) on the wrong sides…Reaction of PSG fans when associated with different managers.#PSG #Zidane #conte #Mourinho #Galtier #Ligue1UberEats #klopp #Messi #mbappe pic.twitter.com/9i4Ij941QJ— Dope (@ThePushkalKesri) June 7, 2022 Julien Fournier, football director of Nice was speaking to L’Equipe and one of the main topics of his conversation was the interest from PSG to acquire Galtier. And while most of directors would at least try to say that their coach is not available, Fournier’s answer revealed that he would have no problem parting ways with Galtier after only one season.“Each passing day makes PSG’s task more difficult because we have to move forward for next season. If they want Galtier, they must not delay. If Paris-Saint-Germain comes, and it’s a decision that I obviously can’t take alone, when you have this type of club that comes to get one of your players or your coach, it’s hard to say “no”” said Fournier. More-than-a-player-less-than-a-CEO Mbappe is preparing his first PSG signing. ZZ!His comments came after a strong reports that Luis Campos wants Galtier instead of Mauricio Pochettino. The news PSG director had a great relationship with former Saint Etienne coach while they both served in Lille, but now it seems that owner Al Khelaifi has set his sights on Zinedine Zidane. Many reports from France say that the deal is done, but Zi Zou’s advisor said to L’Equipe:“All these rumors about an agreement with PSG are unfounded. Neither Zinedine nor I have been contacted directly by the PSG owner”.21.45: (5.10) Austria (3.60) France (1.80)And while we await to see who will lead PSG in the future, Fournier talked in depth on his relationship with Galtier. And if you look at his statements, it’s clear that he really wants PSG to come for his coach.“You never know a person until you’ve worked with them. Christophe Galtier performed extremely well in Lille. As it happens to some players too, he performed less well for us. We expect him, next season, to be more efficient, especially on the offensive aspects. We are the ninth attack in the Championship (with 52 goals). With Claude Puel, it was never a long calm river. But Claude was professional to the tips of his nails. With Patrick Vieira, it wasn’t easy either, yet we worked hard” said Fournier. The sporting director confirmed he will stay in the club until September 1st. Will he stay beyond that? Will Galtier stay? A hot summer is coming to Nice.
