Nyangweso keen on strengthening Ulinzi’s forward line

Ulinzi Stars will beef up its attack ahead of the 2022/23 FKF Premier League (FKF-PL) season, coach Benjamin Nyangweso has revealed. The Soldiers, who ended the season in the 13 positions was the least scoring side in the league after Mathare United who got relegated. They found the back of the net 19 times, and relegated Vihiga Bullets scored three more goals than the military outfit.##NAJAVA_MECA_459090##They however managed to end the season strongly winning their last two games against Kariobangi Sharks and Sofapaka by identical 1-0 scorelines further illustrating the team’s shyness in front of goal.Nyangweso is already planning for next season and in an interview, the 2010 Kenyan Premier League winning coach disclosed that the attack is an area of high priority for him as he wants the soldiers to fire better next season.“We struggled to score goals last season so that’s an area that needs fixing as a matter of high priority,” Nyagweso told Citizen.Nyangweso admits that the soldiers were underwhelming last season and wants to see the team compete for honours next season.“We had a difficult season and the position that we finished does not reflect the strength of our team. We are a big team that should be competing for the big honours so this has to change next season. We have to prepare and fight for the title like we have always done,” he added.Last day of the Kenya Premier League.Sofapaka vs Ulinzi Stars pic.twitter.com/6KHY6r3Lxf— Kenyan Football (@Kenyan_Football) June 12, 2022 Ulinzi started the season with Stephen Ochola in charge of the team.
