Calabar yet to report back to Zambia for pre-season

After weeks of training with Kenya Police FC, Kenyan international David ‘Calabar’ Owino is yet to link up with his Zambian side Napsa Stars who commenced pre-season on Tuesday.According to the Zambian club however, Calabar is expected to join the pre-season camp before the end of the week ahead of their Zambian Super League season.Calabar’s presence in Police FC’s camp explainedCalabar alongside attacking midfielders Chaniza Zulu and Danny Silavwe are the three players who are yet to kickstart pre-season training with the club.The experienced center back had an impressive season with the club guiding them to promotion back to the top tier and winning the Absa Cup after beating reigning league champions Red Arrows.##NAJAVA_MECA_6467836##The 34-year-old capped his outstanding season with Napsa by being named the Most Disciplined Player of the Season after receiving the least amount of yellow cards.Despite training with Police FC during off season, the club’s Team Manager George Maelo confirmed that they had no ambitions to sign the former Gor Mahia defender.Calabar rallies his Zambian side after earning promotion back to the top flight”He requested that we allow him to train with us and we granted him that wish.
