AFC Leopards defender Robert Mudenyu has revealed that his contract with the club has expired but hopes that he can reach a renewal agreement with the club.The central defender has been in Ingwe’s books for the last three years and his deal with the club expired at the end of June. He is now a free agent.The player appears not to be in any hurry to move away from the den saying his stay with the Patrick Aussems led team has been blissful.”It is true my contract with Leopards has expired. I have been here for three years and I can say I have enjoyed my time with the team. He reveals that there have been initial renewal discussions with the club.”There have been initial talks and I hope we reach an agreement soon. I want to continue playing for Leopards,” he added.Mudenyu’s desire to continue with Leopards is a big boost for the team that’s currently on a transfer embargo.The team was slapped with a two-window transfer ban for failing to pay their former captain Soter Kayumba his due as directed by FIFA.
