Alarming Kariobangi Sharks walkout continues as ex Gor Mahia defender bolts out

The mass walkout being witnessed at Kariobangi Sharks continued on Tuesday with defender Alphonce Omija announcing his departure from the 2018 FKF Cup winners.Sharks has a lot a big chunk of their players since the 2021/22 season came to an end and coach William Muluya is now left with a huge task of replacing the departees.Patilah Omoto, Ziyad Kiwanuka, Enock Wanyama, Brian Olang’o, Brian Obiero, Tom Teka, Daglas Mokaya and now Omija have left the club with a couple more reported to be on their way out as well.Former Kenya U17 captain Alphonce Omija has left Kariobangi Sharks after two seasons.#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/Xo1fVAOiks— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) July 19, 2022 Omija has released a statement confirming his exit. The former Kenya U17 team captain, a product of the Gor Mahia youth team leaves after two seasons with Sharks. He thanked the club and wished them well.“It’s been a long two-year journey with my family Kariobangi Sharks FC, it has always felt like home from the love to the moral support, to the mental, physiological and physical growth. Though the time has come to leave the club, I will always be grateful to the whole Shark’s squad from the management to the funs it’s been an honor swimming together,” he posted on social media.This is a second season in a row that Sharks is losing a big chunk of its playing unit.
