Wazito FC head coach Fred Ambani is disturbed by FKF Transition Committee’s proclamation that the club cannot field players who were part of the team during the 2021/22 season and are set to join other teams for the playoffs against Murang’a Seal.The Transition Committee issued guidelines before the first leg instructing the club not to field players who had reached an agreement with other teams. The team was further dealt a blow when Amos Asembeka moved to Tanzanian side Prisons FC. Nonetheless, they managed to beat Murang’a 2-1 in the first leg ahead of the return leg in Murang’a on Sunday.Ambani is still disturbed by the fact that he cannot have his arsenal for the tie and wonders what laws the committee used to lock out the players“The fact that we cannot field some players who were part of the team definitely affects our preparations. I do not understand how a player who has been part of us for the 2021/22 season cannot play yet our season has not ended. Wazito’s season ends after the playoff and so I do not understand what laws are being used here. this confusion is definitely affecting us but all in all, we have to fight with the players at our disposal,” he said.##EDITORS_CHOICE##The team’s plans were further dented ahead of the return leg when starman Tyson Otieno was sent off in the dying moments of the first leg and will now sit out of the return leg and although he admits it’s a blow, the tactician believes it is an opportunity for another player to step up and full that void.“It is definitely a blow because he is one of our best players but again it is an opportunity for another player to show what they can. I believe every player in the team can play well when given a chance and maybe it is an opportunity for someone else to step up and show what they can do in the return leg, I have full confidence in all the players that I have and I hope that they step up on Sunday,” he added.
