FKFTC advises clubs to seek alternative funding, hints at exiting the stage

The Football Kenya Federation Transition Committee has advised clubs to consider alternative funding for the upcoming season as they are set to exit the stage once their mandate lapses, which will put an end to the grants that were being extended to clubs in the top tier leagues for both men and women, and the second tier league.While communicating the development, the committee hinted that a new body will be taking over once the term of the current body comes to an end next week.In a Gazette notice dated June 17, 2022, confirming the appointment of the 11-member transition team that took over from the FKF Caretaker Committee, CS Amina Mohammed confirmed that the Transition Committee would be in place for two months effective June 16, 2022 with the term set to end in a few days.Boost for clubs as Caretaker Committe releases grants##NAJAVA_MECA_6557682##The reigning Committee however noted that they had recommended that clubs continue receiving the grants but the decision as to whether the same will continue will be pegged on the team that will take over.”The FKF Transition Committee would like to thank all stakeholders for the support it has received in the just concluded league and in its operations.As you are aware the committee having agreed with clubs was advancing financial grants to KPL, NSL and Division one clubs.With the mandate of the Transition committee coming to an end, we would like to inform clubs and stakeholders that the decision on whether or not to advance the same in the next season will rest with the team that will take over from the Transition committee.Please note that the FKF Transition Committee has recommended that clubs continue receiving the same.
