Nairobi City Stars custodian Stephen Njung’e is hoping to pass the fitness tests before the new season projected to kick off next month gets underway.Njung’e had been out since April nursing a knee injury suffered while in action against National Super League Kibera Black Stars in a friendly match.The setback saw him miss the remainder of the season, leaving the technical bench to rely on Jacob Osano and the budding Elvis Ochoro who made his league debut in the final fixture of the season.It comes with experience, Njunge discusses penalty heroicsNjung’e, had been fighting for the starting roles with Osano who finished the season with thirteen cleansheets before the injury struck.The former Wazito glove man who has since resumed training, says he is praying for a clearance from the medics before the new season kicks off.”I resumed training three weeks ago but I am yet to be given the nod to full training.
