The FKF Transitional Committee (FKFTC) Leagues and Competitions subcommittee chairperson Ali Amour is confident that the body has achieved much during it’s tenure since inception by the outgoing Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Culture and Heritage Amina Mohamed, initially as a Caretaker Committee.In November last year, the CS appointed a 15-member caretaker committee to manage the affairs of FKF, with the move coming weeks after she had directed the Sports Registrar, Rose Wasike to conduct an inspection at Kandanda House with an eye of unearthing the financial plunder and grim governance reported at the institution.Government extends FKF Transition Committee tenure by two monthsThe Committee was set to be in place for a period of six months, but CS Amina rebranded it to the Transition Committee and extended its mandate to October. Amour believes that the body is on the right course and is adamant that they will engage with FIFA in an attempt to put proper structures in place.“We are on course and I am positive with our passion for football in this country that FIFA will talk and when they do, you can take this to the bank, they will be putting proper structure to our football and they will give us a proper direction on the way forward,” he said as quoted on Citizen Digital.Transition Committee claims FIFA suspension will be lifted soon##NAJAVA_MECA_6580638##Further, Amour went on to say that they have been undertaking their duties as a committee as per the rules put in place by the global and continental bodies, FIFA and CAF.“The question we usually ask ourselves is, are we within the stipulated laws set by FIFA and CAF? This is very key for us so that when we make a decision we don’t go outside the set legal framework,” he added.
