Many people who follow Rwandan football know that Rayon Sports is one of the biggest clubs in Rwanda. When a proposal to play for them came, I was so excited and I said ‘why not take this challenge?’ I am looking forward to giving my best to this club,” the lethal left footed attacker is quoted as saying on Rwandese publication The New Times.##NAJAVA_MECA_6580666##Already, the vastly experienced Were, who has previously played for Tusker, AFC Leopards, Amazulu (South Africa), Greek side Kalloni and FK Kaizer in Kazakhstan had the perfect start to life with his new outfit as he provided the match winning assist on debut in Rwanda to show glimpses of what is to come.Rayon Sports last won the league in the 2018/2019 season but since then APR has swept three consecutive titles as Were’s side settled for 2nd, 7th and 4th place finishes in the consecutive seasons. After winning their season opener, Rayon Sports are currently fourth on the log.
