Police woo highly rated Nzoia winger

Days after his much-anticipated move to Tusker FC fell through, Nzoia Sugar FC winger James Kibande could be Kenya Police FC bound after the ambitious, big-spending club opened talks with the player.The former St. Anthony’s Boys Kitale forward alongside teammates James Mwangi and Kevin Juma were expected to join the Brewers and even trained with the Ruaraka-based side as they waited for the two clubs to strike a deal.##NAJAVA_MECA_6615604##A week ago, however, the deal fell through after Tusker informed the millers that they were not planning to pay any transfer fees for the trio’s services. The players have since returned to Nzoia and are now training with the rest of the team at their Sudi Stadium backyard.Kibande was one of Nzoia’s top performers last season and he had attracted interest from the likes of KCB, Bandari, and Ulinzi Stars. He had however settled on joining Robert Matano’s side but talks between the two clubs broke down a week ago.The Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omolo-led law enforcers have now opened talks with the player and are keen on signing him before the Wednesday 7th deadline to beef up their already options upfront ahead of the new season that starts on 24th September.The player has confirmed that he is set to meet the Police FC hierarchy for talks.”There is interest but nothing has been agreed on. Patilah Omoto and Eric Juma from Kariobangi Sharks and David Odhiambo from Kakamega Homeboyz.The team has on the other hand lost Duncan Otieno and John Makwata to Gaborone of Botswana while Clifton Miheso has been linked with a move to Ethiopia.
