CHAN2022: All qualified teams

16 teams have booked their slots at the 2022 African Nations Championship, CHAN 2022, following the conclusion of the qualifiers for the tournament over the past weekend.The Qualifiers were subdivided into six zones, with each zone producing three participants for the main event set to be held in Algeria next year starting from January 8 to January 31.Uganda, Sudan, and Ethiopia will represent the CECAFA region, christened the Central Eastern Zone for the purposes of the qualifiers.Nigeria, South Africa miss out on CHAN finals in AlgeriaMilutin Sredojević-led Uganda edged out Tanzania in the second round of the qualifiers to book their ticket while Ethiopia saw off Rwanda via a sole goal in the second leg after playing to a barren draw in the first leg, with Sudan seeing off Djibouti.From the North, hosts Algeria are joined by Morocco and Libya as the three teams set to take place in the competition from the Northern Zone, with Morocco seeking to defend the title they won in 2020 in Cameroon.Mali, Senegal, and Mauritania will represent Western Zone A with Côte d’Ivoire, Niger, and Ghana doing so for the Western Zone B.CHAN2022: Uganda pip Tanzania to book ticket to Algeria, Ethiopia, Sudan qualify tooSenegal will be returning to the competition after an absence of 11 years, and they had to do it from the penalty spot after playing to a one-all aggregate draw over the two legs with Guinea.Cameroon, Congo, and DR Congo make the list of 16 representing the Central Zone, while Mozambique, Angola, and Madagascar are the Southern Zone representatives.
