AFC Leopards stutter in pre-season as non-league side earn deserved draw

The Tuesday friendly game featured fringe players and youngsters in the team as coach Patrick Aussems seeks to give all his players minutes ahead of the new campaign.Fast-rising winger Victor ‘Aguero’ Odhiambo and midfielder Owen Mboya scored the goals for Ingwe on their way to the draw. Former Gor Mahia striker RichDonald Bolo scored the goals for the Jericho based outfit.CLUB UPDATE This Sunday (18-09-2022) we will be travelling to Murang’a County for another pre-season friendly match against NSL s Murang’a Seals.It will be played at St.Sebastian Park in Murang’a. Kick off time will be 3.00pm#Betika #OursForever #INGWE pic.twitter.com/H51BPwY6c3— AFC Leopards (@AFCLeopards) September 15, 2022 After yesterday’s defeat to Kenya Police, Aussems noted that his tea is improving tactically and added that they will be playing friendly matches every three days.“We are trying to have a friendly every three days, I still don’t know when the league will resume and so when Police asked us to play them it was a good outing for the boys. It was a good game because we are improving tactically, we played a team who bought the best players in Kenya and we are still a young team and I am very satisfied about our performance and I don’t really care about the result at all and especially because we did not work on defending corner kicks yet, there are no problems,”.Ingwe are currently under a transfer embargo and did not sign players in the just concluded window. The team has had to work with the players they had last season and fortunately they managed to tie all of them bar John Makwata with new deals. They have also elevated a couple to the first team.On Sunday, Leopards travel to Murang’a where they will take on National Super League side, Murang’a Seals FC in another friendly match.
