FKF Goal Project offices reopened after eleven months

The Football Kenya Federation Goal Project offices have finally been reopened after eleven months of closure. The offices, located at Kasarani were dramatically closed on November 11 last year following a directive by the outgoing Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Culture and Heritage, Amina Mohamed to form a Caretaker Committee. The committee, was tasked to run football affairs in the country for a period of six months before paving way for the Transition Committee whose mandate is set to expire on October 16.The two committees have been conducting business from their offices located at the Nyayo Stadium. The reopening of the Goal Project offices comes barely two weeks after FKF President Nick Mwendwa announced his return as the federation boss.Mwendwa, delegated his duties to the FKF Vice President Doris Petra in November last year as he battled the graft charges leveled against him.In a letter addressed to FIFA President Gianni Infantino, the federation chief said that the Directorate of Public Prosecutions had dropped the charges, thus was at liberty to resume, his duties.
