Osano keeps the faith despite losing deal in Ethiopia

Despite watching the opportunity to join Ethiopian Coffee SC slip through his hands, Nairobi City Stars custodian Jacob Osano has not lost hope in turning professional in future.Osano jetted back last weekend from Ethiopia where he had travelled to seal a move to the top-flight club.The goalkeeper revealed that he travelled to Ethiopia habouring sky-high hopes of putting pen to paper but the deal broke through under unclear circumstances.##NAJAVA_MECA_6660763##The former KCB man who kept thirteen cleansheets in 26 matches last season however remained positive that lucrative deals will come his way in the future.“We had agreed on everything before travelling to Ethiopia. However, all did not go according to plan. Of course, it is heartbreaking but the good thing is I am slowly getting over it. The interest from the club is a sign of good things to come. It shows that someone has been monitoring my progress and, in this regard, I pledge to double my efforts in the new season,” he said.FKF Goal Project offices reopened after eleven monthsCity Stars Chief Executive Officer Patrick Korir also confirmed that the shot stopper had returned home. He said the former Wazito glove man had left to Ethiopia with their blessing.Having reunited with his colleagues at City Stars, Osano will be hoping to put behind the happenings of the past and continue with preparations for the new season.He will face off with Stephen Njung’e and the fast-rising Elvis Ochoro in the fight for first team duties. Njung’e who was the first choice in the 2020-2021 season lost his place to Osano last season.
