FKF 2022-2023 season start dates revealed

The much awaited 2022-2023 Football Kenya Federation Premier League and all other local inter-club competitions sanctioned by Kandanda House are set to kick off on October 20th. FKF President Nick Mwendwa announced that the league will get underway in a months’ time after reopening the Goal Project offices in Kasarani.##NAJAVA_MECA_6660763##Local clubs and stakeholders had been kept in the dark regarding the start of the season as the outgoing Transition Committee that had been in charge kept on postponing the dates.On Monday evening, the committee announced that the season that was penciled to kick off this weekend had been pushed back again owing to the ongoing KECOSO Games in Kericho.However, Mwendwa who has regained grip in as far as running the game is concerned maintains that the season will start early next month and that clubs should brace themselves for FIFA sanctioned football.“All the Kenyan leagues will formally start in a months’ time. I call upon players to continue training for the season will start next month. I urge officials eve at the grassroot level to start organizing for the new season,” he said shortly after returning to office.Mwendwa further announced that the national teams that haven’t tasted international action since last year will resume even as he remained optimistic that the FIFA suspension will be lifted soon.
