Kenyan international gets new coach in South Africa

Kenyan international Sven Yidah will get the chance to work with a new coach after his South African top flight side Marumo Gallants appointed the returning Dan Melesela as their new head coach on Tuesday.Malesela was relieved of his duties at Gallants despite leading them to the 2022/2023 CAF Confederation Cup by virtue of leading them to the Nedbank Cup final, where they lost out to treble-winners Mamelodi Sundowns.🚨 For immediate release:Dan Malesela Appointed Head Coach of Marumo Gallants F.C. pic.twitter.com/Gox7DMCVL9— MARUMO GALLANTS FC (@_Marumogallants) September 20, 2022 The 57-year-old, who replaces Romain Folz, was roped in from Royal AM where he was part of a coaching trio alongside Khabo Zondo and Abram ‘Wire’ Nteo but is understood not to have been happy with the set up leading to his exit. “Coach Dan Melesela has been appointed to lead Marumo Gallants FC as the club’s head coach. His appointment comes following the resignation of French-Moroccan coach Romain Folz earlier this month.
