Muluya impressed with Luke’s leadership skills

Kariobangi Sharks head coach Wiliam Muluya was left impressed with his centre back Kevin Luke following his solid display in the opening match of the Elite pre-season Cup on Tuesday.The defender joined Sharks recently from the Nakuru based St. Joseph Youth FC that plies trade in the Division One league.Muluya surprisingly handed the defender the armband in the opening game of the pre-competition tournament against Sofapaka. Earlier on, the club had confirmed the versatile Julius Masaba will be skippering the outfit following the departure of Samuel Olwande who joined Sofapaka.##NAJAVA_MECA_6663624##The tactician said the defender had proved himself as a leader despite being new to the team. He however declined to confirm whether he will be Masaba’s assistant going forward.“From the way he is playing and his overall conduct on the pitch, one can easily tell that he is a leader. It is refreshing to see young players expressing themselves confidently at this level,” he added.
