NOCK congratulates CS Namwamba

National Olympic Committee of Kenya Secretary General, Francis Mutuku has congratulated newly appointed Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba saying it is a privilege to have a youthful boss handling the sports docket.On Tuesday, President William Ruto named his 21-man cabinet with Namwamba, who handled the sports docket in president Uhuru Kenyatta’s first term returning to the docket. The ministry has also been renamed Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts. The ministry was known as Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Heritage and Culture under outgoing CS Amina Mohammed.Namwamba has been congratulated by stakeholders across board, with many touting him to perform well in the docket.Mutuku has now lauded the new CS and remembered him for enacting the Sports Act during his first stint as the CS.“Sports creates opportunities for self-employment and gets them in the nation building activities. We are privileged to have such a youthful person join the sports docket and interact with all the sports people in the country.
