Gor Mahia to invoke juogi in desperate fight to starve life sucking cartels

Gor Mahia Secretary General Sam Ochola has fired a warning shot at ‘cartels’ within the clubs whom he accused of bringing in low quality players to the club as path to swindle the record league champions.K’Ogalo have failed to lift the league title in the last two seasons largely due to financial and personnel challenges that bewildered the team. The club did not have a stable sponsor for the last three years and FIFA’s transfer embargo resulted in the club turning to youngsters from their youth team. The club recently landed the largest club sponsorship in history of football in the country and financial problems will soon be a thing of the past as the club works towards dominating Kenyan football yet again. The team is also set to work on its transfer policy to ensure that only the right players join the team. Ochola blamed these cartels for the increase in the number of players reporting the club to FIFA resulting in sanctions including transfer bans.“That said, we are also looking at a transfer policy and will have to dismantle the cartels who bring underperforming players to the club and quote a higher transfer fee for their own benefit. Most of the foreign players who took us to Fifa were not even part of the first team last season,” Ocholla told the Nation.@OfficialGMFC has sent TM JOLAWI OBONDO on Compulsory LEAVE.Gor’s Management should all PACK AND GO.Starting with the Chair pic.twitter.com/blpgVrDu6i— Duncan Odero Nyang 🇰🇪 (@Nyang__KE) September 21, 2022 Last week, the club sent team manager Jolawi Obondo on a mandatory leave and he later fired a warning at the veteran administrator accusing him of being part of the people causing the team problems and he appeared to throw a jab at Obondo over bad recruitment.“We recently made changes in the technical bench. There is no room for those who have been duping the club into signing foreigners, some who don’t have any quality of being a professional footballer.
