A week after parting ways with Wazito FC, former Kakamega Homeboyz midfielder Francis ‘Dimore’ Omondi is now training with Ulinzi Stars and the player could be roped in by the military outfit to beef up their midfield ahead of the new season. The combative midfielder, who last month left Kakamega Homeboyz trained with Wazito FC for a couple of weeks and even featured in friendly matches for the club. However, just over a week ago, the midfielder alongside other experienced players who had remained with Wazito FC and new signings walked out of the club over unfulfilled financial promises. The players accused the club bosses of taking them for a ride. The players who remained with Wazito after the change in ownership, for example, expected their six-month salary arrears to be settled by the new owner and that was not forthcoming while the new players expected to receive their salaries too but with that not forthcoming, they walked out of the club.Kakamega Homeboyz midfielder Francis Omondi taking the Covid-19 test like the beast that he is.📸:@Fabian_Odhiambo pic.twitter.com/NH2r68Fiyz— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) May 11, 2021 Omondi, who is among those who quit the now Muhoroni-based club has joined Ulinzi’s training camp and coach Bernard Mwalala is said to be keen on adding him to his roaster. The tactician joined the military outfit two weeks ago but did not make any signing as the window, as per the transition committee’s directive was closing. There is hope that the clubs will be able to recruit again ahead of the October 22 kick-off date by the returning federation and Ulinzi will hope to bring in the former Mathare United and Modern Coast Rangers man.##NAJAVA_MECA_6686151##“Dimore has been training with Ulinzi for a couple of days now and everything points at the club signing him. The coach wanted an extra player in midfield and he has earmarked him for signing because he is a player that he has worked with and understands well,” a source privy to the developments told Mozzart Sport.Ulinzi already recruited three new players in addition to the likes of Hillary Simiyu who linked up with the squad after military training. The new signings are Eli Saenyi from Mwatate United, Ruben Mita from Mara Sugar FC, and Jacob Onyango from Bidco United.Winning the Preseason Cup final could lay down a marker for next season – Pamzo backs Police
