Their final match was a 5-1 drubbing by Kenya Police FC. With the team keen on earning promotion to the top tier by the end of next season, many would argue that the tournament gave them a reality check ahead of the 2022/23 National Super League campaign.Reviewing his team’s outing at the tournament, Mahira, a former Murang’a Seal FC coach pointed out defensive fragilities which he says must be fixed before the new campaign commences. He is happy that they noted the problems in the team before the start of the new season.“The concentration of my defenders was not good, we let in very east goals and there is a lot of work to do especially in defence because we were just not good enough at the back. He appreciates the fact that they scored goals in all their matches and also the fact that he gave some youngsters minutes against tough opponents.“We scored in each and every game against premier league teams and that for me is a big positive. It was also an opportunity for the young boys to play against top teams.
