Claressa Shields and Savannah Marshall square off for the undisputed middleweight title in main event at The O2 Arena in London, England on Saturday, October 15. A highly anticipated showdown pits the unified WBC, WBA and IBF champion of the US up against the current WBO titleholder of the UK. In addition the “Elizabethan Belt” is up for grabs.
Marshall defeated Shields by decision when the pair met as as amateurs at the 2012 AIBA Women’s World Championships in Qinhuangdao, China.
The Fight Week officially began in London, England with a “Grand Arrivals” event. Old rivals Claressa “GWOAT” Shields and Savannah “The Silent Assassin” Marshall, were joined on the red carpet by other fighters battling it out on the night. Check out below what they had to say.

“Even though she’s the home fighter and everyone here is talking about her, I am the one with all the accomplishments. I’ve won twelve world titles, she’s won one. I won two Olympic gold medals, she’s won none.
“It’s a huge night for women’s boxing and I think if we stay on the road we are on now, it will reach equality with men’s boxing in my lifetime.
“Saturday night I will come out victorious like I always do, I hope the fans have a great time and I hope every fight on the card is great. I hope we make the national news all over the world, whether the fight ends in the first round or the final round.”

In the co-main event WBO and IBF champion Mikaela Mayer and WBC titleholder Alycia Baumgardner (12-1, 7 KOs) square off in a ten-round junior lightweight championship unification.
