Three more agonising months on the sidelines for Talanta midfielder

FC Talanta attacking midfielder Anthony Gicho will be sidelined for an additional three months after belatedly undergoing surgery last week.Gicho suffered an ankle injury in December last year while in action against Posta Rangers at the Thika Stadium and was subsequently ruled out for two months.However, a Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI) test conducted later exposed the extend of the injury that saw the midfielder sit out for the entire campaign last season.##NAJAVA_MECA_6724260##The player was first treated for a fracture only for further tests that were conducted after he complained of excruciating pains exposed tears that necessitated a surgery.Gicho who was named the 2020-2021 National Super League midfielder of the season underwent surgery last Tuesday at the Kijabe Hospital after going out of his way to pool the medical fees.He revealed that the medics had barred him from training for the next three months but remained confident of getting clearance before the second leg of the new season.”I am glad that I finally had a date with the surgeon after raising the funds. I would have been operated on long ago but lack of funds worked against the plan. The doctor said that I will be out for three months.
