Muguna makes comeback in Tanzania after near two month injury layoff

Harambee Stars creative midfielder Kenneth Muguna finally managed to shake off his injury problems as he played for his Tanzanian outfit Azam FC on Friday evening marking the first time he has featured in a game since his last appearance that came almost two months ago. Before the encounter, the former Gor Mahia captain had not been in action for the ice cream makers since 30 August 2022 and his planned return to action back in September was delayed when he suffered another setback to the minor injury he had earlier picked up.God is great Feels good to be back on the pitch ❤️ pic.twitter.com/wIh9tGjrlB— Kenneth Muguna Mugambi (@KennethMuguna10) October 12, 2022 When Azam travelled to take on Kindoni MC at the Uhuru Stadium on Friday, the 2016 Kenya Premier League Most Valuable Player (MVP) was included in the matchday squad as a substitute but his eventual return to the team however ended with disappointment as KMC inflicted a 2-1 defeat on his team.It all started as early as the 15th minute when the hosts took the lead through Styve Nzigamasabo who finished a mazy run by George Makanga who had done all the hard work in beating the Azam defense before laying the ball on a plate for the midfielder who did not miss.##NAJAVA_MECA_6745967##Three minutes later however, DR Congo international Idris Mbombo restored parity for the ice cream makers as he tapped home an easy chance that the KMC custodian failed to deal with properly following a fierce attempt. The deadlock would remain until the 57th minute of the game when Makanga turned from provider to goal scorer after yet another powerful run that ended with a beautifully finessed shot past the Azam goalkeeper who could not do anything to help the team.#NBCPL George Makang’a akatenda tena kile ambacho amewahi kukitenda msimu huu dhidi ya timu Fulani; Je, unaikumbuka?
