Former AFC Leopards captain Martin Imbalambala adjusting to life after losing sight

Former AFC Leopards captain, Martin Imbalambala is adjusting to his new state after being enrolled in the Kenya Society for the Blind (KSB) and is looking forward to greater things in the future.The former combative midfielder’s woes began at the end of 2018 when what began like a slight headache after a training session with Bidco United ended up in him losing his sight. After visits to different hospitals, it was concluded that the situation could not be reversed and the former Ingwe inspirational skipper had to undergo training in order to adapt.##NAJAVA_MECA_6787020##In January 2022 he joined KSB and the player is happy with the progress that he has made since joining the institution. He says that he can now move around without help and knows how to use the brail and adaptive computer.“Here they teach orientation and mobility. There is also a brail and adaptive computer. Kenya Society for the Blind has greatly changed my life. I can now move from this point to another. I remember I have gone to Vihiga three times without anyone accompanying me. I go alone; there is a way I can move without assistance, he said in an interview with Kenyan Footballers Welfare Association (KEFWA).“I can now wash my clothes. I can do house – cleaning and cook without any difficulty. I can read without any struggle and access government services smoothly.
