Aquino features as Simba Queens secure CAF CL semis spot

Kenyan internationals Topister Situma and Corazon Aquino were among the subs as their Tanzanian club Simba Queens overcame Green Buffaloes from Zambia 2-0 in the final CAF Women’s Champions League group A match played on Saturday at the Stade de Marrakech, Morocco.Aquino had started the opening two games against AS FAR and Determine Girls but did not leave a lasting mark and on Saturday, she was dropped for the all-important game. The hosts downed Liberia’s Determine Girls 2-0 to maintain their 100% record. Oumaima Harcouch and Ibitissam Jaridi scored the goals for AS FAR, both goals came in the second half.Simba will face the top that finishes top in group B while AS FAR will take on the runners-up.
