Former Harambee Stars skipper Victor Wanyama was at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, North London on Sunday to watch his former side in the Premier League as they went down 1-2 to visiting Liverpool. Resurgent Mo Salah scored a double for the Reds with Spurs’ legendary striker Harry Kane grabbing the consolation.Wanyama, who recently left CF Montreal in the Major Soccer League, MLS, posted on his socials that, “felt good to be back here. He made headlines in 2016 when he became the first Kenyan player to grace the globally acclaimed English Premier League.His stint at Spurs ended unceremoniously under a cloud of injuries that kept him out of Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho’ squads. His North London travails led him to the MLS where he was among the star players including Gareth Bale, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Carlos Vela.Wanyama’s sighting in England has heightened speculation that the combative midfielder could be making a comeback into the big league.
