Mathare and Vihiga locked out of week two FKFPL action

Mathare United and Vihiga Bullets will once again sit out of league action with FKF Premier League week two matches set to be played on Saturday and Sunday.The two teams were locked out of week one action as there is a case in court challenging the nullification of the 2021/22 season by FKF’s National Executive Committee. APS Bomet, who had earned a promotion to the top tier before the nullification are seeking the reversal of the decision at the Sports Disputes Tribunal.##NAJAVA_MECA_6830675##Other teams enjoined in the case are Dimba Patriots, Kona Rangers, Mayenje Santos, and Kibera Soccer Women who were affected in different leagues. The matter will be mentioned on Tuesday afternoon at the tribunal with further orders expected.United and Bullets were the biggest beneficiaries of the nullification as they had been relegated to the second tier. Vihiga Bullets had been penciled to play AFC Leopards in week two while Mathare were set to face Kenya Police FC.The other matches will go on as planned. Gor Mahia will be away to Bidco United on Saturday. In the other Saturday games, Nzoia Sugar will host Bandari at the Bukhungu Stadium while Sofapaka will take on Posta Rangers at the Kasarani Annex.On Sunday KCB will entertain Kakamega Homeboyz at the Kasarani Annex. Kariobangi Sharks and Ulinzi Stars will also face off at the same venue.
