AFC Leopards assistant coach Tom Juma says the team will build on the 1-0 win over Nairobi City Stars on Wednesday and get better with each match.Ingwe stunned Simba wa Nairobi at Nyayo National Stadium where a Maxwell Otieno second half strike settled the match and helped Ingwe begin the year on a winning note. The team started the season poorly and at some point lost five matches in a row. They have now not tasted defeat in their last five outings, a sign that the team is slowly recovering from the early season setback.5 games unbeaten,1st win in 2022 and a young team who gain experience despite a very complicated situation!Happy for them but disappointed to see Nyayo so empty! If you are an Ingwe’s fan, come to support your team! They deserve it! They build the futur’s success of the club! 🙏 pic.twitter.com/uD2T6Xhlpw— Patrick Aussems (@PatrickAussems) January 5, 2022 The win over Nicholas Muyoti’s charges was Ingwe’s third of the season and Juma says it could be the beginning of better tides for the youthful team.“We have started the year on a good note and we are going to build on this win to better our performance in the league. The boys really played well in this match and we would have won even with a bigger margin,” he told Daily Nation. Leopards will have a chance to make it two wins in a row for the first time this season when they play Nzoia Sugar on Sunday at the Nyayo National Stadium. Nzoia are equally struggling with consistency this season and the game against Ingwe is one that they will be fancying their chance. With the transfer window opening on 9th January, the team is set to beef up its squad with attack their main area of concern. The team has been goal-shy so far this season and will be seeking to add more firepower to its attack.
