Joash Onyango included in Simba Day festivities ahead of new Tanzanian season

Harambee Stars international Joash Onyango was included in the matchday squad that Simba SC paraded for their annual Simba Day celebrations held on Monday to usher in the new 2022/2023 Tanzania Ligi Kuu Bara campaign that kicks off this coming weekend 13 August 2022.As part of their tradition, the Tanzanian outfit hold celebrations before the start of every new campaign where the team carry out different festivities in front of their fans. Kenyan league champions Tusker FC omitted from CAF Champions LeagueThe celebrations of the day were attended by former Chelsea and Arsenal players Solomon Kalou and Alex Song and Tanzanian boxer Karim Mandonga.Kalou and SongThe music performance was graced by headline act Zuchu, DJ Joozey, Adam Mchomvu, Mami Babe, Tunda man and Abdu Kiba.Simba will be hoping to once again fight for titles in the upcoming season as rivals Yanga completed the domestic treble leaving Simba with nothing.The team will however represent the country in the 2022/2023 CAF Champions League and faces Geita Gold in the season opener.
